The Borough Arms
Sited perpendicularly to the main Bodmin to Wadebridge Road, we are approximately 2 miles from Bodmin and 5 miles from Wadebridge. Very much the traditional country pub, no loud music, pool or darts we encourage conversation and interaction between customers.
Although built in the 1850’s, to service the trains that took china clay from the moor down to the port at Padstow, The Borough Arms gives the impression of being much older.
The railway was closed by Dr. Beeching and in the 1970’s it was converted into The Camel Trail, a 17 mile leisure route for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The Trail is accessed from the large car park at the end of the pub and is free to use and open all year round. Picturesque and interesting, The Camel Trail has some of the most beautiful scenery in the North of Cornwall.
Dog friendly in the bar area, we serve food throughout the pub, from the dining room to the easy chairs by the open fireplace and outside on the patio, the orchard and to the benches by the hedge.
