The Hole in the Wall
This pub is a great spot to find, situated next to the main car park in Bodmin, for a refreshing pint of real ale in the patio or the bar area. We offer a traditional lunchtime food menu which is served every day of the week.
It’s filled with a host of fascinating bric-a-brac which has been collected over the early years as payment from the customers for their beer and drinks; there is a great collection of tankards, as well as items from both the World Wars.
The star of the collection – a white lion’s head - is housed within a display cabinet at the front door of the pub. It was apparently donated to the pub after a legendary rugby match.
The Hole in the Wall has a great beer garden which is full of flowers during the summer which provides a lovely area for a refreshing drink or a bite to eat.
We offer a lunchtime and evening menu Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and use locally sourced ingredients for the menu from local suppliers including R E Dennis and M F Ortons.
The menu has a choice of main meals and snacks. All of the menu is home cooked at the pub and includes Homemade Burgers, Traditional Ham, Egg and Chips and Cornish Cheese Ploughman's.
All of the chips are made at the pub and delicious.
There are always 3 real ales on the bar including Sharps Doom Bar, Skinners Betty Stogs and Bass. We also have a full range of wines, spirits and soft drinks which can all be enjoyed in the enclosed patio or the bar area.
It has also been judged the best town pub in CAMRA Kernow's Pub of the Year awards.
