The museum tells the story of the town from the earliest times until the end of World War II. The story unfolds through objects, photographs, text panels and a room setting. The visitor steps back in time when viewing the Cornish kitchen with its scrubbed-top pine table, cooking utensils and black-leaded kitchen range. The story of Bodmin during World War II is depicted through photographs, objects, text panels, uniforms and posters. `Echoes of Bodmin Moor' exhibition on display.

Road Directions

From the A30 follow signs for Bodmin town centre. At the traffic lights beside Barclays Band turn right into the nearest car parking, Priory Park. Leave the car park, cross the road at the traffic lights and walk onto the pedestrianised square area. Walk past the Shire Hall which is on your left and the museum is just beyond here in the public rooms.

Public Transport Directions

Nearest station is Bodmin Parkway station. Turn left as you leave station, then left again and follow signs for Bodmin.
