Bodmin Town Museum is situated at the heart of Bodmin and has some fascinating artefacts and information on Bodmin's history from the earliest times through until the end of World War II The museum tells the story of the town from the earliest times until the end of World War II. The story unfolds through objects, photographs, text panels and a room setting. The visitor steps back in time when viewing the Cornish kitchen with its scrubbed-top pine table, cooking utensils and black-leaded kitchen range. The story of Bodmin during World War II is depicted through photographs, objects, text panels, uniforms and posters. `Echoes of Bodmin Moor' exhibition on display. Family friendly we have a popular quiz for children. We regret that disabled access is restricted Bodmin Town Museum is situated on the lower ground floor of The Public Rooms on Mount Folly in the centre of the town.

Road Directions

From the A30 follow signs for Bodmin town centre. At the traffic lights beside Barclays Bank turn right into the nearest car parking, Priory Park. Leave the car park, cross the road at the traffic lights and walk onto the pedestrianised square area. Walk past the Shire Hall which is on your left and the museum is just beyond here in the Public Rooms.
