Bodmin Well Trail

Holy Wells were once frequented by devotees in search of health, omens or predictions of coming events.  Bodmin has several holy wells dotted around the town and the Visitor Information Centre has a trail that takes you via these, and gives you a taste of each well's history.  For example the trail will take you past Breet Shute Well or the Eye Well as it is also known whose waters are supposedly healing to weak and troubled eyes.

As well as visiting the holy wells, the walk also goes via many of the interesting and important buildings in Bodmin such as Bodmin Jail and St Petroc's Church.

You can take a look at the Bodmin Well Trail by clicking here or ask for a free copy of the Well Trail at the Visitor Information Centre
