The Saints Way

The Saints Way is a 27 mile, coast to coast walk from Padstow on the north coast to Fowey on the south coast. It is well signed with Celtic cross markers and follows the probable route of early Christian travellers making their way from Ireland and Wales to Brittany and the European mainland.

The route starts at the picturesque harbour in Padstow and heads south through Little Petherick, St Breock Downs and Lanivet, near Bodmin before joining the Fowey River near Lostwithiel for a lovely waterside stretch that leads to Fowey.

The Visitor Information sells a handy card pack on the Saints Way and can advise on places to stay along the route.  You can also get some more information on the Saints Way walk from both Fowey and Padstow Tourist Information Centres.
