Public Transport in Bodmin

Once you have arrived in Bodmin, there are good public transport links which makes Bodmin the perfect destination for a car free holiday in Cornwall.

Bus Transport

Bus companies offering transport from Bodmin are Plymouth Citybus and First Bus.  In addition, Summercourt Travel offers a Bodmin Town bus service.

Train Transport

Bodmin Parkway, the mainline station, has excellent train links to towns like St Austell, Padstow, Truro and Penzance.  The station is about three miles from Bodmin town centre but there are buses between Bodmin town centre and the station.  There are also adequate car parking facilities at Bodmin Parkway Station.  You can have a look at timetables here at

There are plenty of taxis around Bodmin and the main taxi rank is situated outside Bodmin Visitor Information Centre.  The main company is Parnells Taxis

Bodmin is a real cycle hub with the Sustrans cycle route coming through the town.  Plus the Camel Trail, the traffic free cycle route to Wadebridge and Padstow, starts in Bodmin.  There are plenty of bike racks to "park" your bicycle on Mount Folly Square, outside Bodmin Visitor Information Centre.

More help?

If you need any help in planning a route or finding out where you can get to using Bodmin's public transport, please don't be afraid to contact one of the Information Centre staff who will be able to advise you and make suggestions.
